Welcome to The Wallace Dogs

Hello and welcome to our site.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mike Wallace, and I run tournament hunting dogs and I am from Shawnee, KS. To say I am a dog enthusiast would be an understatement; a dog freak would be more like it. I have been an outdoor and hunting enthusiast for as long as I can remember. My father started taking me at the age of 6 and the action packed days in the field with my red rider BB gun watching the dogs work was the start of something that only those who truly understand the bond between man, his dogs and the outdoors can comprehend. Even at a young age nothing seemed to stop me. No weather was to cold, or to warm and there were many a sleepless Friday nights before the opener. As I grew older, the passion never waived and I still get as excited before an opener or a tournament as I did when I was young. From September thru the end of March most weekends you will find me out either in the fields working the dogs or traveling the NBDCA, UFTA or PHU circuits competing against some of the finest dogs in the country. The competition can be fierce to say the least but at the end of the day, as the sun sets over the horizon your enemies become your friends and it is just all about the dogs. Which is the way it should be.

In the pages of this site you will see us go from a man and his dog, to a man and his dogs. The journey while not easy has been worth every hour spent behind the wheel of the truck driving over a 5 state area to compete. The memories, as well as the friendships made will forever be etched in my mind and nothing in the world can replace that. This site is dedicated to all those that have allowed us to make all of this a reality. We hope you enjoy your time on this site, and enjoy the trials and tribulations of the Wallace Dogs as much as we do.
