Missy - "An old firend"

Missy came to be a part of The Wallace Dogs in the fall of 2003. Dad had decided that he wanted a dog of his own again after 15 years of being without one. We did some research and found a guy that had a 4 year old female for sale. We went a looked at Missy, and while she was timid there was just something about her that made her unique. We loaded her and her then owner up and headed down to K&L Kennels to see what she would do. John at K&L put a few birds out for us and off we went. Missy covered the field well and found all her birds and the last one she retrieved to Dad and it was pretty much a done deal at that point. We took Missy home that day and she has been a part of us ever since. Missy is methodical in the field, she may not be the fastest there is but she does not miss her birds even in the worst of conditions. Missy will make the retrieve no matter how long or how short it may be and do it with style and grace, she also has one of the most stylish points you have seen and the uncanny ability to track and head off running birds. Her and Dad have done some competitions, and done quite well to boot. However like anything time is an issue, so most days will find them hanging around the house together. Missy’s impact on The Wallace Dogs cannot be measured by her accomplishments but more to what she brought to us. For my parents, the never ending smiles from her crazy antics around the house as well as a loyal companion. For me, the 3 pups that we ended up keeping out of the one and only breeding between her and Hank. You will see there pages included in this website as well.
