Allie Cat
Allie was the 3rd and final pup we kept from the litter in 2004. Allie had a laid back personality and was rather quiet. The intentions were not to keep her but place her in a good hunting home. I am not sure who made the connection first, my Mother or Allie but whichever one it was it was pretty much over at that point and Allie stayed with us to join her brother and sister and the rest of The Wallace Dogs. She followed the same path as her siblings off to K&L Kennels and John at 6 months of age, and like them did very well in her training. Allie possesses a rock solid point and is one of the best natural retrievers you will find. One thing that I noticed running her is that for some reason she is heavy on her feet, she does not glide over the cover like Tess or Charlie she runs like she weighs 100 pounds not the 50 that she is. As a result I nicknamed her Thunder Allie and it has stuck ever since. Allie made her trial debut in the fall of 2004 by taking second in the Hunter Division in her first ever NBDCA trial and at 7 months old she was competing against dogs twice her age and making it look easy. As she matured and her confidence level increased she developed little bit of an I know more than you attitude which is one of the things that makes her as good as she is. Allie is not as fast as some dogs you will see, but she rarely makes a mistake so what she lacks in speed she makes up for. Her passion for what she is doing makes her easy to control and she will hunt for just about anyone with a gun. She is also a tremendous doubles dog as she has a natural quarter that comes in very handy in those situations. Allie has left impressions with just about anyone who has watched her run and will just keep getting better.
